Publishing & Scheduling
Set per-location posting schedules, manage your publishing queue, and publish directly to Facebook and Instagram.
Publishing Schedule
Configure when posts go out in Settings → Publishing Schedule. You can set:
- Days of the week — Which days posts should publish (e.g., Mon/Wed/Fri)
- Time slots — What times of day (e.g., 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM)
- Per-facility schedules — Each location can have its own days and times
- Timezone — All scheduling is timezone-aware (defaults to America/Los_Angeles)
Tip: Check the "Best Time to Post" heatmap in Analytics to see when your audience is most active, then set your schedule to match.
Content Calendar
The Content Calendar tab shows a visual calendar of all scheduled posts. You can:
- Drag posts to reschedule them to different dates
- See posts color-coded by content pillar
- Click any date to see all posts scheduled for that day
- Filter by facility to see one location's calendar at a time
Publishing Tab
The Publishing tab organizes posts by status:
- Ready — Approved posts waiting to be scheduled
- Scheduled — Posts with a future publish date queued for auto-publishing
- Published — Successfully published posts (click to view on Facebook)
- Failed — Posts that encountered an error during publishing (with retry option)
Facebook & Instagram Publishing
SocialEngine publishes directly through the Meta API. Posts are scheduled on Meta's servers, so they'll go out even if your computer is off. Image posts use the Photos API for maximum quality.
Important: Make sure your Meta connection is active (Settings → Meta Connection) and your Facebook Pages are matched to the correct facilities. Posts without a matched page cannot be published.
