Brand Configuration
Your brand configuration is the DNA of every post SocialEngine generates. The more detail you provide, the more your content sounds like you — not like generic AI.
Brand Voice
Found in Settings → Brand Configuration → Brand Voice, this controls the personality of your generated content.
Tone
Describe how your brand speaks. Examples: "Friendly, helpful, and direct" or "Professional but warm, never stuffy." Avoid single words like "professional" — be specific about what that means for your brand.
Personality
Give the AI a character to channel. Example: "The knowledgeable neighbor who always has practical advice about organization and moving. Warm but never cheesy."
Perspective
Choose first-person plural ("we," "our") for most businesses, or third-person ("the team at...") for a more formal feel.
Content Pillars
Content pillars are the categories of posts SocialEngine generates. Each pillar gets a percentage allocation that controls how much of that type appears in your content mix.
A typical self-storage setup might be:
- Educational (30%) — storage tips, packing advice, organization how-tos
- Promotional (25%) — specials, new features, unit availability
- Community (25%) — team highlights, local events, customer stories
- Seasonal (20%) — seasonal moving tips, holiday storage, weather-related advice

Post Structure
Control how every post is structured:
- Hook — How posts should open. Example: "Start with a surprising fact, relatable question, or practical tip."
- Body — The main content. Example: "2-3 sentences of value. Be specific and useful."
- CTA — How posts should close. Example: "Soft CTA: visit us, reserve online, or call. Never pushy."
Character Limits
Set maximum character counts per platform (Facebook default: 500, Instagram default: 2,200).
Guardrails
- Must Include — Things every post should have (e.g., "location-specific details")
- Must Not Mention — Topics or words to avoid (e.g., competitor names, specific pricing)
- Audience Segments — Who you're writing for (helps the AI tailor language)
- Customer Language — Words your customers use (e.g., "more space," "declutter," "easy access")
Facilities
Each location's details feed into post generation. The more complete your facility profiles, the more location-specific your content will be. Key fields:
- Name, address, phone, email
- Office hours and gate hours
- Amenities and unit types
- Local landmarks, local events, and community context
- Facility website URL and established year
